1. Neil Young’s Aboriginal t-shirt:

It was a top Glasto moment - my new best friend BT pointed out the t-shirt Neil Young was wearing on the Pyramid stage as being the very same one he had given to him when he had previously toured in Australia in January.  How did he get it to him?

“I just went up to him and said, “It’s Australia Day here, but for many Australians, Australia Day is a day that brings mixed feelings….”

BT makes t-shirts, and this one he is particularly proud of because it’s the Aboriginal flag. A percentage of the profits goes to support a charity that helps Aboriginal children with hearing loss, so please buy one!

Remember the drama? It was worth the wait.  Worked it as a top when t-shirts were too hot and too ordinary. I call this look Sister-Sledge-meets-Westbourne-Park-Road-crackhead but my friend calls it Yummy-Mummy-coming-out-of tee-pee-with-her-BlackBerry-and-new-jacket-from-Zara-and-by-the-way-you’ve-lost-half-an-earring.

6. Beards.

As worn folk-rock style by Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon (one of the best acts - I skipped BrucieS for him) and slightly slicker by Jarvis Cocker’s bass guitarist, forgotten his name but met him very briefly in the backstage bar at the Park.  (really, it’s okay, I’m sure he can’t remember my name either).

7. Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Rocking that eyeshadow.  And the kabuki style top… Heads will roll!

9. Fred Perry shirts.

It’s all you need this summer boys.  Rows of them watching The Specials, also looked pretty cool on Damon Albarn.

10. Bracelets.

Lots of people were wearing them.  All sorts of pretty colours too, usually made from plastic or shiny ribbon.  Shame I only had the one.
